my foundation beauty tip

I can't be the only who let's out a bit of a squeak when handing over my card to pay for an amazing (yet expensive) foundation. I fell for the Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation hook-line-and-sinker last year. It's so bloody fantastic - as many of you know - in that it stays put for yonks and supplies you with total coverage. I do find sometimes, however, that it can make you look a bit too 'done'. Before my discovery, I always used Max Factor Colour Adapt foundation because I loved the finish and consistency - of course, I'd go to take my foundation off at the end of the day to find that there wasn't any left.

To get the best of both worlds, I often mix the two together. Not only are my purse strings happy but so is my face - I end up with the perfect finish which lasts all day long.

Do you ever mix two beauty products together?

it's like forgetting the words to your favourite song, you can't believe it

statement bronze spike necklace: available at Trumpery

Everything is just so god-damn hectic at the moment. I'll just dive right in and tell you about the past week or so, as I've been a little AWOL. Last weekend was pretty fab - on the Saturday I spent the day in Covent Garden with my parents and sister (I hardly get to see her as she lives in Devon) where we watched mad violinists, meandered around the stalls, ate Moroccan food and took in the general atmosphere. Sunday saw Daniel and I attempt our first car boot sale as sellers - I made £180 from unwanted clothes, shoes and jewellery so it was pretty successful even if the majority of buyers were, in fact, quite scary.

In other news, I'm moving to Colchester next week with Daniel so obviously there's lots of thought and preparation going into that. I can't wait until next weekend when we're officially moved in that's for sure.

I'm feeling very grown up all of a sudden.

Anyway, how have you all been?

a catty wishlist

1. 'Hey Babe' Jumper / These Folk
2. Meow Cat Embroidered Shell Top / Topshop
3. Cats World Map Art Print / artPause at Not On The High
4. Crazy Cat Lady Sleeveless Jacket / Veuxdoo
5. Kitty Stud Earrings / Ginger Pickle
6. Tabby Cat Medium Toiletry Bag / Urban Outfitters

I might not be an actual cat lady but boy do I love them. Lately I've found myself missing my cats and - along with the help of Charlene whose new kitten is out-of-this-world cute - getting obsessed with all things cat-related, hence this rather obsessive wishlist.

Everything above is amazing, no? I love that the Topshop top is sheer, that jumper by These Folk is all things amazing and those Ginger Pickle earrings are purrr-fect. Gah, I want it all.

Which piece is your favourite?

win a Sugarlips dress!

I was kindly sent this dress by Sugarlips a little while back but, unfortunately, it doesn't fit me. The stars over in Los Angeles have given me permission to let one of you lucky buggers have it though. It's a size 'small' off-white maxi dress with beautiful criss-cross cut-out detailing. Perfect for summer, it's an absolute gem.

slouchy grey marl top: Dorothy Perkins sale
pale jeans: New Look
gold chain necklace: Primark
sparkly ring & above-the-knuckle rings: c/o Kukee
JuJu jellies: Mr Shoes

Yes it may be bloody cold but I've decided to ignore that and add touches of spring to my outfits - hence the jellies, bright turquoise nails (Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine in Greenberry) and bright pink lipstick (also Barry M). I love my new Dorothy Perkins top too. I picked it up in the sale along with another (a navy breton stripe) because I'm in need of long, baggy tops. I also want to say a huge thank you to Megan and Kukee - I won their giveaway and am absolutely delighted with my goodies, seen above.

In other news, Daniel's been away in Austria for a week but he's back now so I'm a rather happy Rosie. Oh and because we all know blogging should be all about the LOLs, I've decided to include these rather amusing outtakes. Oh weather...

Marrakech buys

Here are some goodies I haggled for in Marrakech last month. The mirror is an absolute favourite (you can see me in haggling action for it here) and I love that it incorporates both camel bone and leather. I equally lusted for a lantern of any sort and opted for a itty bitty cutie one. The tea set was one of those I MUST HAVE IT items that I probably paid too much for. Rarely will I drink such tiny amounts of mint tea again but I was thinking it'd be perfect for some not-at-all-cultural alcoholic shots?

Fashion-wise I naturally had to buy a pretty scarf and the bracelet was bought because I wanted something with the nation's iconic Hamsa Hand on it. My beauty buys were inspired by our trip to a hammam spa - the black soap was left to soak into our skin in a steamy room for 15 minutes and it's bloody marvellous, and I'm sure you're familiar with Argan Oil. This stuff is the real deal though i.e. it smells of goat poo but does the trick.

Oh, and the egg cups are for my nan and granddad!

Are you a fan of haggling in foreign markets?

do you remember? 'cause I remember

sweater dress: H&M
oversized denim jacket: Primark
double finger crosses ring: Primark
round sunglasses: Topshop
khaki frilly socks: Topshop
creeper ankle boots: Mr Shoes

This jacket has changed my life <<< dramatic, vain, all things shallow right there.

Despite it being mighty windy outside and still rather chilly, the sky is bright and thunder's supposedly coming next week... is warmer weather on its way? We can only hope. I can't wait to wear this sweater dress with bare legs and sandals that's for sure.

Also: what do we think of my new hair length? Some think I'm c-razy for getting 4 inches cut off but I like it.
