new york city: days 3 & 4

Day 3: rice, roast chicken and veg for breakfast (totes normal!) and some major posing with some sexy men / Robyn and I hired a bike for the day for $25 and rode them around Central Park / Central Park Zoo: seals, penguins, polar bears, monkeys, a cute owl and some farmyard animals who we fed / a picnic in Sheep Meadow: turkey and brie baguette, pringles, cakes, apple and some Welch's - yum! With The Strokes and Kings of Leon playing in the background, it was truly wonderful / we then rode around the entire circumference (overall, I think we might have gone 8 miles?!) and saw the Jackie Onassis Reservoir, as well as Strawberry Fields - the tribute to John Lennon / a yummy vegetable lasagne for dinner.
Day 4: breakfast at the Ace Hotel, which had such an amazing interior and a yummy pain au chocolat / a quick taxi ride over to Williamsburg, Brooklyn where Robyn and I did some vintage shopping / lunch at Juliettes: a 40min wait on the rooftop bar, followed by the most ultimate and delicious burger. The interior was, again, beautiful - American with French inspiration / vintage shop 10ft Single kept us occupied for a while - Robyn bought the best leather jacket ever, and I picked up some crazy-arse shorts / after watching some local baseball, we headed to the coast for some spectacular views of Manhattan and a well-deserved rest / Robyn, David and Donna introduced me to Snafu where they'd been the night before: some really fun pool, drinks and general hilarity. There's me posing with the four dollar bills we each signed, hopefully meaning I'll forever be in New York. Here we found out that Osama Bin Laden has been killed - surreal to say the least.
