2011

Saturday, 1 January 2011

There's something about the first post of a new year that yields to expectations. I was a little lost on what to post about so I've decided to mention some things I'm looking forward to...

1) New York

I did mention before that I've won the opportunity to go to New York with some people from my course at university, and I couldn't be more excited. I've always wanted to go and am literally counting down the days!

2) Graduation

I'm going to be so happy when I graduate. I think I'm just a bit fed up of education now. I absolutely love learning and (almost) everything it entails, but I think it's time for a change of scenery. I don't have the foggiest what I'm going to do next though... maybe that's part of the excitement?

3) Florida

My boyfriend's family have invited me to go with them to Florida again this year - I went last June for the first time and loved it completely. I can't wait to explore again, and will lap up the sunshine gladly after all this cold weather.

4) 21st

I'm not a big birthday-celebrater and 21 doesn't mean too much over here in the UK but still. I feel like when I'm 21, I'll be a lot more grown-up. I can't decide whether this is a good or bad thing though?!

5) Barcelona

I envisaged a European adventure this summer, but with my funds going towards NY and Florida, it probably won't happen. I'm still adamant that I'm going to Barcelona though - my number one destination choice in Europe right now.

I've also got some general resolutions for the year, although I try not to worry about them too much. I'd ideally like to lose a bit of weight (but doesn't everybody?), graduate with flying colours, find a job I'm happy to wake up for and have a damn good year.

Has anybody else got any plans for the next 12 months?

  5. You're gonna love NYC! It's like a jungle of neon lights at night. And there's always a lot of interesting street style to observe.

I hope your 2011 is filled with awesome and memorable experiences. Cheers! :)

  6. NYC lucky lucky you! :) Sounds like you have a lot of fun stuff lined up. My main priority is getting a new job, as at the moment I'm not very keen to get up for it in the mornings... Barcelona is ace too, you can get cheap flights so I'm sure you'll make it for a sneaky weekend! xx

  10. Wow, NYC! I don't have such exotic plans. I want to go to Hay on Wye festival again, I'm such a book geek and I want to attend more local farmers markets and vintage events x
